 The secret is out. Real estate investing in British Columbia Canada. BC lakefront property is still affordable in many places and more property investment opportunities are becoming available weekly. It appears that investing in a BC resort property is a sound and profitable investment decision but it also offers the opportunity for a relaxed lifestyle with escape from the urban trap that has anchored you for years. Birch Bay Resort on Francois lake in Central BC may be one of those opportunities.
For many years interior BC lakefront property was unappreciated and undervalued, except perhaps in the Okanagan. Throughout the 1980's and 1990's For Sale signs were everywhere to be seen with bargains galore. With the emergence of the baby boomer retirement procession at the turn of the century, the trickle down effect of money (inheritance)and a spiraling real estate markets in urban areas, people are willing to travel further to enjoy the peace and quiet of lake front living.

It is expected to be a 2 to 2-1/2 year project that will probably pay double-digit returns.
This developer has two investment strategies that may interest the savvy investor. Initially, the developer is offering 2 different capital investment programs in which they are seeking only investment money with significant rates of return. Each investment structure varies with the amount of risk, potential return and persoal tax strategy. Of course, initial investors will also be offered the opportunity to invest in one of the properties at a discount prior to being offered on the market.
The BC lakefront property at Birch Bay on Francois Lake will then be offered to purchase at an attractive price to the general public as the project nears completion and the lots become available.
Initial investment opportunities for Birch Bay Resort are limited with residency qualification restrictions. One's initial investment is reasonable and not cost prohibitive to the small or medium investor. For those who qualify, your investment or portion thereof may be eligible for RRSP consideration, always an attractive option. Its always nice to have a choice that matches your risk tolerance with additional tax deferral options.
